
Ingredients:
7-8 black peppercorns
1" cinnamon stick
4-5 cloves
1 bay leaf
2 tsp Everest Chole powder (Do i look like I am advt'ing for Everest?)
1/2" ginger, grated
3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 little red onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 can garbanzo chick peas
a little bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
In a dry pan, heat up the spices for ~10', stirring continuously, till you can smell the waft of the spices in the kitchen :). Add 2 tbsp oil and heat up a bit. Add in the ginger grate and green chillies. Saute for a minute. Add in the onions, saute them till they turn tender. Add in the chopped tomatoes. Let it cook till oil separates out. Add in 2 tsp chole powder. Mix up real good and add in the chick peas. let it simmer for a bit. Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves. Serve with rotis, lemon+ salted chopped red onions and lightly fried green chillies.
